Every summer, as the Netherlands eagerly anticipates a break from the relentless rain, people flock to the terraces outside bars to bask in the long-awaited sunlight. However, in the heart of Eindhoven, on the bustling Market Square, one bar faced an ongoing challenge. Their terrace received hardly any sunlight, making it an undesirable spot for patrons seeking to enjoy their Bavaria beers in the warm embrace of the sun.

Concept
To address the challenge of a shaded terrace, we harnessed the creativity of students from the University of Technology in Eindhoven. Together, we developed an ingenious solution – a system of strategically positioned mirrors and solar panels. This innovative setup redirected sunlight onto the previously dim terrace, instantly transforming it into a sunny haven.
