Background

In the Netherlands, summer is a precious season, and sunny terraces are prime real estate for bars and restaurants.


However, on Eindhoven’s Market Square, the Bavaria bar faced a major challenge: its terrace was perpetually in the shade.

Bavaria, a brand synonymous with great beer and good times, needed a creative solution to draw customers in.

WORK

We thought, if the sun wouldn’t come to the terrace, we’d bring the sun to the terrace.

We lifted a massive mirror, perfectly angled to redirect sunlight onto the shaded terrace, turning it into a sun-soaked hotspot.


To maximize buzz, we partnered with students from Eindhoven University of Technology. Not just to add credibility, but to fuel PR and social content. In the lead-up to the event, they documented the problem, teased the build-up and hyped the reveal.


After launch, they kept the conversation going with reactions, behind-the-scenes footage and real-time impact.
